Terms of Use

playedby.me lets you log games, follow other people's activity, and take part in daily quizzes. The service is run by Håkon Fornes Medhus as a hobby project, with no commercial guarantees and no support organization.

You must be 13 years or older to register an account. If you are under 13, you cannot use the service.

You are responsible for what happens on your account. Keep your password to yourself, and use an email address you actually have access to: it is used for verification and account recovery.

Everything you post is visible to other signed-in users. Therefore:

• Do not harass, spam, or abuse the service or other users.
• Do not post illegal content or content you have no right to share.
• Do not attempt to bypass access controls or disrupt the service.

You own the content you post. By using the service you let playedby.me store it and show it to other signed-in users: that is the whole point of the service. You can delete your account and your content at any time from the settings.

Accounts that break these terms can be removed, with or without prior warning. In practice, obvious missteps are raised directly first; removal is for genuine abuse.

The service runs on a private home server and is provided as is, with no guarantees of uptime or freedom from errors. The service may change or be discontinued. Should it be discontinued, users will be notified in good time so everyone can export their data.

Feel free to take your own exports along the way: there is a JSON export in the settings.

These terms may be updated as the service changes. Significant changes are mentioned in the service's update log.
