Terms of Use

playedby.me lets you log games, follow other people's activity, and take part in daily quizzes. The service is run by Håkon Fornes Medhus as a hobby project, with no commercial guarantees and no support organization.

You must be 13 years or older to register an account. If you are under 13, you cannot use the service.

You are responsible for what happens on your account. Keep your password to yourself, and use an email address you actually have access to: it is used for verification and account recovery.

You can import games and playtime from Steam, PlayStation (using your public PSN ID), RetroAchievements, and from files or CSV from other services. You can disconnect a connected account at any time. What is fetched and stored is described in the Privacy Policy.

What you post can be visible to others, see Your content below. Therefore:

• Do not harass, spam, or abuse the service or other users.
• Do not post illegal content or content you have no right to share.
• Do not attempt to bypass access controls or disrupt the service.

You own the content you post. By using the service you let playedby.me store it and show it as described here. Journal notes are visible to you and your groups. Your profile, library, lists and Wrapped are visible to everyone, including people who are not signed in, unless you choose Groups only under Privacy. Then only people you share at least one group with can see them. Your activity is only shown to people you share a group with. Notes you publish yourself as a public review are visible to everyone, including people who are not signed in, until you make them private again. Anyone who can see your profile can follow you.

You can delete your account and your content at any time from the settings. If you own a group with other members, you must first transfer the ownership or delete the group. What is stored and who sees what is described in the Privacy Policy.

Accounts that break these terms can be removed, with or without prior warning. In practice, obvious missteps are raised directly first; removal is for genuine abuse.

The service runs on a private home server and is provided as is, with no guarantees of uptime or freedom from errors. The service may change or be discontinued. Should it be discontinued, users will be notified in good time so everyone can export their data.

Feel free to take your own exports along the way: you can export as JSON or CSV from the settings.

These terms may be updated as the service changes. Significant changes are mentioned in the service's update log.
